The design of a new brand identity system for Solemio represented a unique challenge since the owner is a creative herself and did not feel the existing logo, which also was not connected to the story of Solemio that through the years evolved and became not only an online store but a barefoot lifestyle community.

The design of a new brand identity system for Solemio represented a unique challenge since the owner is a creative herself and did not feel the existing logo, which also was not connected to the story of Solemio that through the years evolved and became not only an online store but a barefoot lifestyle community.

"I felt I needed a new logo because the old one was no longer mine. Thank you, Polona, for "appearing" at the right time. I would say that also in the right place because we got along well.
Both Polona and Alenka, helped me in this (not very easy) process when we rediscovered Solemio, my and our story.
I think that together, we found the brand identity exactly the way Solemio, its story, and its mission are.
I like to joke that at first, I felt like I got a new boyfriend. :)
It was full of excitement and butterflies in my stomach and
I wanted to show it to everyone as soon as possible.

The concept is based on an abstract representation of the letter S, the first letter of the Solemio brand name.
It consists of movements from two halves of a circle.
The upper half represents the sun, warmth and freedom. The bottom half is soil and earth. The contact between the two halves illustrates the contact with the ground that barefoot footwear allows.
The dot represents nature and an invitation to return to it.

Those primal feelings when you feel the ground, your feet and your body led her on a path to more fullness, freedom, health and well-being.
Staša with her Solemio is here to inspire you, me too, not only to wear barefoot shoes but to choose a simpler way of living, where imperfect is enough, in contact with the ground, with yourself and with nature.
